  • Friday Night Summer Schedule. There will be two minyanim for mincha and kabbalat Shabbat every week, both in the main shul. The first minyan will follow plag and the second will follow shkia (sunset). For this week, the first minyan will be at 6:35 p.m., and the earliest time for candles is 6:49 p.m. Kabbalat Shabbat at the first minyan will begin at 7:00 p.m.

  • Rabbi Schwartz is not giving the shabbat afternoon or Wednesday night shiurim this week. The shabbat shiur will resume next week; the Wednesday shiur will be back after a short break.

  • Please join us for a brainstorming session for Mt. Sinai's Family Life Committee. If you would like to be involved in the Family Life Committee, or if you have ideas you would like to share, we want to hear from you! Sunday, July 25th, 10 a.m., in the multi-purpose room at Mt. Sinai. (This meeting will be informal; children are welcome.) Attendance does not mean you will be recruited to join the FLC--no commitment necessary.   • Seeking 5 volunteers for 2 hours on Monday or Wednesday evening to help divest the shul of old supplies, clean up a storage area, and prepare bags for sheimos.   • Artists Standing at Mt. Sinai presents Richard McBee, who will discuss his painting "Sarah's Trials" on Monday, July 26th, at 8:30 p.m., in the Multi-Purpose Room. Artists Standing At Mt. Sinai is a new series featuring today's top Jewish artists discussing Judaism, inspiration, and their artwork.

  • Join the Education and Family Life committees for a tour of of the Bronx Zoo with the "Zoo Rabbi," Rabbi Natan Slifkin, on Sunday, August 1st, 2:15-5:30 p.m. Discounted group admission rates are as follows: $12 for adults, $10.40 for seniors, $8.80 for kids 3-12, and free for children under 2. For these discounted rates, pay online at the shul's website or in the office by Wednesday, July 28th at noon, after which you can buy full price tickets at the zoo.
